We need service industry workers as badly as we need industrial, factory and construction workers... So what's it gonna take to get people back to work?

Here in the Permian Basin, we're used to long lines. At the gas station, the fast-food restaurant, the grocery store, the oil change place, everywhere. Doesn't matter if you're going to the car wash with the car or out to eat with the family at a great place-you're going to have to wait.......

Everyone was tired of the same ole same ole that we usually do-and my stepdaughter suggested Subway. Since it had been a while, that sounded good to everyone. That is-until we got there....

What things do we have too much of in West Texas? Here are some things we see around every corner that should probably be spread to other areas to 'share the love', so to speak...

I personally would never think to leave a review on any municipality's Law Enforcement because it's just not top of mind for me-and if I have a chance encounter with an officer, I most likely wouldn't want the entire world to know about it, why, or what happened. Fortunately for this article's purpose--my outlook on the topic isn't shared, and here are a few of the reviews...

There are those unlucky few who have encounters with the men and women of law enforcement, who apparently have extra time on their hands, that want to leave reviews on the department.

When we moved here, I knew of two Midlands... Midland Texas, and Midland Michigan. I had no idea there were so many more areas named Midland.

Gas prices are thru the roof, groceries are more expensive than they have been in years, and the cost of everything is going up. Rent was already expensive here in West Texas-especially in Midland and Odessa. And the real estate market is on the upswing with oil back and in high demand. Even with all that being said-this zip code in Texas is STILL the most expensive one to live in
