Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against the Machine, Whitesnake and Journey alumni were among the guests listed for the fourth annual Bowl for Ronnie charity event, which takes place on Oct. 25 at the Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City, Calif., with all proceeds going to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.

Guests for the event include Steven Adler, Tom Morello, Doug Aldrich, Jeff Scott Soto and a number of former Dio members, with dozens of others set to take part from across the worlds of rock, movies, TV and theater. Last year's event raised $49,000, up from the previous year's $36,500.

“Event host Eddie Trunk will once again captain a team of celebrity bowlers,” organizers said in a statement. “A place on Eddie Trunk's team will be auctioned off on eBay in the coming weeks, and additional participants will be announced shortly. … Attendees can anticipate an evening of fun, food, and, of course, bowling with rockers and celebrities competing for trophies in the name of raising funds and awareness for the Dio Cancer Fund. Among the raffle prizes will be a specially-designed bowling ball and pin featuring the Bowl for Ronnie artwork along with a Pinz bowling party as well as many other items.”

The fund continues to raise awareness of cancer in memory of Dio, who succumbed to the disease in 2010. More than $2 million has been raised to date, with money donated to various research and education programs. Bowl for Ronnie tickets are on sale now; further information is available at the fund's website.
