Well, here’s proof that maybe Canada is not as bad as we think.

In the middle of interview with the mayor of Kelowna, British Columbia, reporter Lori Welbourne decided to tackle the issue of going topless in public.

Mayor Walter Gray is stunned, at first, but quickly gathers himself and continues with the Q&A and a spirited discussion with Welbourne.

And good news for our intrepid reporter, too – Gray tells her she’s within her rights to discard her shirt.

Let’s just hope this doesn’t start a trend. We don’t need to see Diane Sawyer showing off what God gave her the next time she sits down with President Obama.
