Humans are closer to reaching the edge of space!

The privately-funded aerospace company Blue Origin safely launched their premier rocket, New Shepard. This is the fourth time the rocket has successfully launched and landed during a test run. This was also the first time Blue Origin set up a live broadcast of one of their rocket launches.

This is incredibly good news for those who want to head into outer space since New Shepard is, "designed to take six paying customers up to 62 miles above the Earth’s surface." The Verge reports this test run was actually an intentional crash landing. In case of emergency, rocket officials are testing how the vessel will hold up when crashing down.

The 11-minute flight was successful on it's crash landing, even though the launch was pushed back due to West Texas heat.
