Ozzy Osbourne and his wife, Sharon, are reportedly moving from Los Angeles back to the U.K. due to California’s high tax rate.

"We are leaving LA. We are a bit sad. But the tax is getting too much,” Ozzy explained to The Mirror. “I am sad because I really really like staying and living there."

The legendary Black Sabbath frontman reportedly plans to spend most of his time at Welders House, a property he owns in Buckinghamshire, a country town in South East England.

“I am taking my recording studio with me,” the Prince of Darkness noted. “I am going to build a barn there and make my own studio at Welders. I will still be making music and my band will come over."

Despite the impending move, Osbourne said he’d keep the door open to returning to Los Angeles. "If they do the taxes better, then I may come back. I do not know."

Sharon had previously been a host on the long-running daytime talk show The Talk, which films at CBS Studios in LA. She was fired from the program in 2021 following a controversial on-air argument with fellow host Sheryl Underwood.

The Osbournes won’t be the first notable rock family to leave California over the state’s taxes.

In 2020, Kiss icon Gene Simmons announced he was moving out of Beverly Hills -- his home for more than 35 years -- due to “unacceptable” tax rates. “I work hard and pay my taxes and I don’t want to cry the Beverly Hills blues but enough is enough,” the rocker declared at the time. He ultimately relocated to a 24-acre estate near Mount Ranier in Washington.
