Movie Poems (National Little League Week)
It's National Little League Week. So here are some poems about baseball movies. (Answers below)
- It was one summer for this crew
In the beginning they laughed at how he threw
But he gave baseball a whirl
As long as he didn’t play like a girl
To home plate, Benny the Jet, flew - He could soon beat the milestone
But he doesn’t want it to be known
Too many years he spent there
For anyone to really care
The craft he helps the young one hone - His grandfather was his best friend
All the way until the end
But when he passes away
Billy will step up to say
It’s his baseball knowledge he will lend - It was a time when they needed a game
But no one knew anyone’s name
They stayed on Victory Scrap
Remember to avoid the clap
After this, it would never be the same - This World Series was very one sided
Until some on the team decided
To take some extra cash
They were to lose in a flash
It ended leaving the locker room divided
