Midland ISD to bring all students back to campus five days a week starting Monday, November 9th.  According to MISD, this marks Phase 5 of the district’s re-entry plan.  Many students have been taking part in on-campus learning Monday through Thursday since October 5th but it’s about time they all go back.  According to the article on the cbs7 website “Our mission is to offer instruction which prepares students for college or career, and we believe that having students (other than those that have chosen the Midland ISD Online Academy as a Covid response) on campus five days a week is the best way to accomplish this, “ stated the district in a release.

On Monday, MISD began requiring that all students wear masks on campus.  This decision came after the school district saw that more than two-thirds of its 330 Covid-19 cases were reported in October.

Midland Christian cancels remaining football games due to COVID-19.  According to Coach Greg McClendon, approximately 30 players are in quarantine at this time.  Midland Christian will be foregoing its final two regular season games.  Hopefully they will be able to get back to it for their TAPPS playoff game on either November 20th or 21st. The team was scheduled to play at Plano Prestonwood Academy this Friday and host Dallas Bishop Lynch on November 13th, however the games will not count as losses, they just won’t be playing them.
