Back on May 12th, 20-year-old Kyle Dube of Orono, Maine wanted to impress 15-year-old Nichole Cable, who had refused his advances in the past, by faking her kidnapping to win her over.

According to Boston.com, Dube set up a fake Facebook profile, became friends with her online, then arranged to meet her near her house.

When she showed up, he jumped out with a ski mask over his face, duct taped her mouth, put her in his pickup, and drove into the woods.

When he arrived at his destination in the woods, he discovered she had died.  Her cause of death at the time of the story had not been determined, but something Dube did caused her death.

Realizing he had just went from potential hero to murderer, he dumped her body and fled.  Police found Nichole's body eight days later and quickly connected it to Dube.  His brother told the cops that he had planned to, "kidnap Nichole and hide her...[so] he would find her later and be the hero."

Kyle Dube is now facing murder and kidnapping charges, and looking at 25 years to life in prison.
