That time of the year is back, BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON! Personally, I'm sad that summer vacation went by so fast, but If I’m being honest…. My son eats a lot so I’m glad that I won’t have to worry about feeding him every hour of the day!!

For many parents, back-to-school means shopping time! Shopping for clothes AND school supplies can get expensive, but that’s why every year 93.1 KISS hosts its annual Back-to-School Expo which gives Borderland families a full day of shopping, entertainment, giveaways, and school spirit at Cielo Vista Mall.

Whether you're checking off your school supply list or looking for a fun family outing before the first day of class, here's what you can expect.

What You'll Find

• Dozens of back-to-school vendors throughout the mall
• Free goodies and giveaways from participating booths
• Prize drawings and family-friendly activities
• Back-to-school shopping specials
• Community organizations and local resources

Main Stage Entertainment

(Located in front of the lower-level Women's Dillard's)

• Noon – 5:30 p.m.: Performances from local dance groups, cheer teams, clubs, and community organizations
• 1 p.m.: Back-to-School Fashion Show presented by Laura's Productions
• 3 p.m.: Second Back-to-School Fashion Show presented by Laura's Productions

Calling All High School Mascots!

Think your school's mascot has the most school spirit in the Borderland?

The Mascot Showcase is returning, and organizers are looking for local high school mascots to represent their schools on stage. Join GECU's award-winning mascot, Dru Blu, show off your school pride, entertain the crowd, and compete for bragging rights.

Every year we crown a local mascot as the best dancer so make sure that your school is represented and sign up before July 24th!

Stop by the KISS 93.1 FM tent for a chance to win one of 30 backpacks filled with school supplies.

• Register beginning at 10 a.m.
• Winners selected every 15 minutes through 5 p.m.
• You do not have to be present to win.
