Work’s Canceled, but Mother Nature’s Clocking In This Labor Day

El Pasoans, the Labor Day weekend forecast is in and let’s just say, while you may be planning a forecast of no work, Mother Nature is clocking in for some serious overtime. *Cries in Spanish*

Look, the purpose of this article isn’t to rain on your parade, no pun intended, but it’s just to give you a heads up so you can plan accordingly!

El Paso’s Labor Day Weekend Forecast: 

Friday kicks things off with a tiny tease: just a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon and highs will be around 93, with just enough sun to remind you it’s still summer.

But don’t get too comfy, because Saturday night is when the real drama rolls in. *Gasps in Spanish* According to the National Weather Service of El Paso, we have a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. That means backyard BBQs may turn into indoor karaoke nights real quick.

Sunday is giving “moody” vibes with a 30% chance of storms and a high near 87. By Sunday night, those odds bump up to 50%, so maybe keep the umbrellas on standby!

Now, the main event: Labor Day Monday

Half the day looks like sunshine, the other half looks like thunderclouds. Highs will dip to around 84, which will be kind of nice, but keep in mind that there will still be a 50% chance of rain!
