It’s safe to say that we all appreciate technology. Sometimes it can frustrate us but overall it’s a very useful tool…..until AutoCorrect decides to completely ruin your life!! *Cries in Spanish*
What starts as a simple text can quickly turn into an embarrassing, confusing, or hilarious disaster. I came across a thread online where people shared their most hilarious Autocorrect fails and some of those responses had my jaw on the floor!
Thankfully autocorrect hasn't done me too dirty, but I was curious to read more stories so I asked El Pasoans to share their funniest AutoCorrect fails, and they absolutely delivered.

El Pasoans Delivered the Funniest Texting Disasters
One listener shared that while using a slow cooker to make stew, they accidentally texted their mom, “Does the sex really take 8 hours? It’s been 7 and I’m starving!” Their confused mom quickly replied, “What the heck u talkin about?”

Manny Martinez said he asked his tia to pick up a jar of nopales at the store, but AutoCorrect had other plans and changed it to “nipples.” AWKARD!!
For Esmie Valentina, a sweet message from her husband went off the rails when “babygirl” became “barbecue squirrel.” Six years later, the nickname is still going strong. Sometimes these autocorrect fails can turn into hilarious traditions like this one!
Nicole Dominguez tried sending the Happy Birthday song to a friend, only for “dear Tiffany” to become “dead Tiffany.” Damn. That took a dark turn quick!
But one of my favorite autocorrect fails was from one hungry El Pasoan who accidentally promised, “I’ll get children for dinner” instead of chicken. BTW she has no children.
Moral of the story: always proofread before hitting send because AutoCorrect is NOT OUR FRIEND!!
