Ted Lasso Star Drops Video After El Paso Soccer Appearance
Alright El Paso, are we getting punked? Is this next-level method acting? Or is Ted Lasso actor Cristo Fernández seriously trying to become a pro soccer player again?!
According to multiple local and national media outlets, that could be a possibility and Cristo AKA Dani Rojas could be suiting up in El Paso Locomotive gear to play pro soccer!
Locals were surprised to see the Ted Lasso star potentially taking his soccer talents off-screen after he was given an informal tryout with El Paso Locomotive FC.

Did El Paso Just Become Part of Ted Lasso’s Storyline?
If I’m being honest, It kind of feels like El Paso just wandered onto the set of Ted Lasso. One minute it’s a regular weekend, the next… fans are spotting Dani Rojas himself actually playing on the field.
According to reports, Fernández logged about 30 minutes on the field during the Locomotive’s recent win over New Mexico United. The team, coached by Junior Gonzalez, is expected to decide within the coming week whether the actor could earn an official contract.
While fans know Fernández best for shouting “Football is life!” as Dani Rojas on Ted Lasso, soccer was actually his first passion. The Guadalajara native played youth soccer in Mexico and was considered a promising talent with Tecos Fútbol Club before a serious knee injury at age 15 cut his athletic career short. That setback eventually led him to pursue acting while attending university.

Could Cristo’s Latest Instagram Post Give us An Answer?
Criosto's love for the game never faded. He is often seen attending professional matches, and his recent appearances on the field suggest he may finally be chasing the soccer dream he had to leave behind years ago.
The answer isn’t totally clear yet but just a few days ago Cristo shared a video on his instagram page talking about his love for soccer with the caption reading: "Dreams evolve. Paths change."
Look, I’m not one to jump to conclusions... JUST KIDDING I AM!!! Take a look at the video for yourself and I’ll let you jump to conclusions on your own.
For now fans are watching closely and waiting for an official announcement. El Paso will gladly welcome Cristo with open arms, and if Dani Rojas really does suit up for El Paso there’s only one question left to ask: Is Coach, Ted Lasso, going to show up to cheer his former player on?!
