Several new additions to Cielo Vista Mall in central El Paso are already open and a couple more are coming soon. The new spots offer shopping, fun, eating and drinking.

Once upon a time, Cielo Vista Mall had a full on bar/restaurant called Putney's Street Pub. It stayed open well after mall hours, had it's own entrance from the parking lot and, most nights, booked live bands.

In the years since, "fast food" has been about the best you can do there and drinks are limited to a kiosk on the upper level. You can get a drink to go but the bar experience isn't really there.

Pretty soon though, patrons of the mall will have a few new choices as far as shopping goes along with an arcade for some gaming fun and a new restaurant for a tasty shopping break. According tp KTSM, two new stores and the arcade are already up and running. Mango, on the lower level, can set you up with women's stuff ... clothing, footwear and other accessories.

JD Sports, upstairs, has the athletes/fitness buffs covered with sneakers and other sportswear. Peeps can take a break, or send the kids off to leave them alone while they shop, at the Fun Spot Arcade.

Coming Soon

Pinmark, an international clothing company, will bring in some fancy duds sometime this summer. and a new Mexican restaurant is coming this month. (March)

Palenque Grill ... which will be by the southern, main entrance ... has several locations across Texas, started by the same guy who first established, (and brought to the USA), Mexico's El Pollo Loco. According to their website, they also offer live music.
