Join Us in Tribute: Scholarship Celebrating the Lives of Three West Texas Siblings
On November 20, 2024, the West Texas community was hit with the tragic loss of Jaden Jurago, Jackie Jurado, and Nautica Carrasco. The siblings passed away in a car crash while on their way home. The teens were all gifted academically and athletically and will be missed by their family, friends, and a large part of the community.
Heather Perkins, the mother of the teens, has served as a Patrol Lieutenant with the Ector County Sheriff's Department and has been an important member of the Ector County community for 23 years.

While the family and friends of Jaden, Jackie, and Nautica mourn this tragic loss, the community has stepped up to help with whatever they can. This showed during their memorial service. The turnout was overwhelming, with many flowers filling the room and people coming from all around West Texas to show their love and support. Let's also come together as a community to help a student with their future goals.
