Pecan Pie Tamales Are The Unexpected Taste Of Fall
Just like countless others in West Texas, I am all in when it comes to Fall. Once September hits, I am in full Fall mode.
I was doing some research for Fall-related desserts when I came across something that made me do a double-take.
Introducing Pecan Pie Tamales.
Yes, you read that right. Pecan Pie Tamales. I love pecan pie, and I love tamales. But to combine the two? That is just diabolical.

My Initial Reaction
At first glance, I thought, there is no way that this is real. If it is, there is also no way that it is any good.
Before I dove deep down the rabbit hole, I assumed that this would be a traditional tamale (with masa) with pecan pie mix stuffed inside it. GROSS!
However, I was wrong.

Honestly, I do not know how to feel about this.
Granted, the masa being used is not the masa that is found in traditional tamales, but still, I am somewhat intrigued.
