Hold Onto Your Hats! These West Texas Wind Storm Posts Will Blow Your Mind (Literally)

Every time I mention the weather being nice in the Permian Basin, it always finds a way to prove me wrong.

I am from West Texas so I know how bad the winds get. A 30-mile wind gust is nothing for us out here, so when the wind and dust shut down businesses and roads, it must be bad.

The day hasn't come to an end yet and everyone in West Texas is sharing the mayhem that is happening in the area.

This post shows the view while flying into Midland today. As you can see below, you can not see anything past the dust and clouds.

When it comes to high winds I always worry about the truck drivers out on the roads. The high winds have made several 18-wheelers flip today. Amorillo shared a post of multiple trucks flipping on the highway.

Visibility is low and many highways are closing due to the winds and dust. If there isn't anything urgent to go to today, it is a good idea to stay indoors.
