The Permian Basin has many activities for holiday celebrations. In Midland, downtown becomes a winter wonderland filled with lights and decorations. Centennial Park is a popular spot during Christmas. The park hosts many events and attracts visitors who want to embrace the holiday spirit.

FIRST METHODIST PRESENTS CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK

Everyone is invited to a cool Christmas Experience that everyone in your family can enjoy! First Methodist Church is hosting a free event in Centennial Park located at 300 North Main Street in Midland on Wednesday, December 18th, from 6 to 8 PM.

Different local musical artists will be playing live music to help get you into the festive spirit. While you enjoy the live music get some good treats like a pulled pork sandwich or warm up with a hot chocolate from Cpl. Rays coffee. Don't forget to feed that sweet tooth with some cotton candy or a bag of Chicago-style popcorn.

It isn't a Christmas celebration without Santa! He will be out and about greeting everyone and wishing them a Merry Christmas. You can also ask Santa for a picture with the beautiful lights of Downtown Mdialnd in the background.
