Smoked Meat Heaven: How to Get Unlimited BBQ Samples at Basin Red Dirt 2026
Let's be real - all the best live events have great food, and they're ten times better when that food is Texas BBQ, right? Well, we've got good news for folks coming to the 2026 Basin Red Dirt BBQ & Music Festival happening April 11 at Scharbauer Sports Complex.
How About Unlimited BBQ Samples?
You read that right.
One of the best parts about this festival is having easy access to elite pitmasters from across Texas.
However, it's important to remember that not every ticket tier gets you in on this awesome tasting tour. It all depends on what you want to get out of the festival.
Tasty Tickets For Whatever Experience You Prefer
The first thing to know is that every ticket tier gets you into the live concert.
With a lineup like Whiskey Myers, Wade Bowen, Jesse Joe, and Mike Chism & Hollow Point, music lovers looking to kick up some dust can't go wrong with any tier.
Concert-only tickets are $65, and get you in at 4pm when the live music is really ramping up. You'll also have food truck access incase you change your mind about chowing down.
BBQ & Concert Tickets are $125. They get you in the gates at 1PM so you can browse BBQ joints and munch on unlimited samples, plus you get the concert experience.
VIP tickets are $225 and come with nice perks. You'll be able to get through the gates at Noon and get a head start on those unlimited BBQ samples. You'll also get two free beverages, access to a VIP bar with liquor, and admittance to a private VIP area at the front of the stage. There's even a higher VIP tier that includes a table in the Platinum VIP section to the side of the stage, plus a separate bar and bathroom.

The "While Supplies Last" Rule
The pitmasters will be serving awesome food throughout the afternoon, but samples are available while supplies last. If your ticket-tier includes samples, we recommend arriving early so you don't miss out on a single bite. Our pitmaster guests will bring enough food to feed a small army, but you know how much a hungry Texan can put away.
