February 14th is “V” Day, and if you are still trying to figure out what to do in Temple, check out the list of ideas below!

Feelings and Food

Great food has always been part of the Valentine’s Day tradition, and lucky for us, Temple has some amazing places to dine. Whether you are looking to go all out for a long-time relationship or keep things casual for a first date, Temple has a vibe for everyone!

For the "Foodie" Couple

If a candlelit dinner is your thing, Temple’s fine-dining scene is ready to deliver. Italian Steakhouse 17 South, is a top contender this year with its "Sophisticated Valentine's Day Dining Experience." At $75 per person, the three-course meal offers a perfect blend of elegance and flavor. For those seeking a classic touch, Pignetti’s in downtown Temple remains a local staple, offering award-winning wines and authentic Italian dishes in a cozy setting. If you’re looking for high-end luxury, Cheeves Brothers Steakhouse provides an amazing upscale steakhouse experience, complete with white-linen service and premium cuts. If you want a Texan Valentine’s day, drop by Johnny’s in Salado for some fresh, cooked to order food and southern hospitality. They specialize in Mesquite Grilled Steaks and Texas Pit BBQ. Nestled just off I-35 on Central Ave in Belton, Schoepf’s BBQ is another great Valentine’s day choice for some great BBQ.

Activity Dates

Valentine’s Day doesn't have to be limited to dinner. If you prefer to be “doing” something rather than just “eating” something, Temple has you covered. For a more active afternoon, the Main Street Valentine’s Day Market at 204 South Main is the perfect place to walk around while doing some shopping. If you and your special someone are creative types, check out Painting with a Twist allows you to bond over a canvas. My personal fave is BitBar Temple, and it is not because I have my own 1980’s arcade Centipede game in my home office. BitBar gives you the whole 80’s vibe with arcade games and neon lights. Wings Pizza N’ Things is another great spot for a relaxed Valentine’s Day experience. Watch a game on one of their more than 60-50" televisions while chowing down on some AWESOME food! If you want to scoot a boot, take your sweetie to Bo’s Barn Dance Hall in Temple!

Sweet Escapes

For a truly unique "Central Texas" experience, head down the road to Walker Honey Farm and Dancing Bee Winery. Their Valentine’s Day Pop-Up includes a $25 special featuring a charcuterie board, honey truffles, and glasses of mead, perfect for a mid-day toast. If relaxation is the goal, a couples massage at The Woodhouse Day Spa offers a restful retreat.
