Temple, Texas was sadly the scene for a tragic murder last fall at the Santa Fe Plaza where a popular volunteer, 47-year-old Paolo Tescari, with Feed My Sheep Temple was gunned down in broad daylight around 8 AM on the morning of November 7, 2024. A description was provided to the Temple police, and even though the suspect had fled from the scene on foot and then got into in a car, police determined a Texas teen, 17 year old Kevin Jaramillo Ramirez was the gunman that had them searching.

With as much as Temple and Bell County are growing these days, it feels like the police force is getting spread pretty thin, but thankfully officers were able to quickly respond to the nearby 911 call, and it was actually an officer that saw Ramirez enter the vehicle, so they were able to pursue and arrest him.

Texas Teen Now Indicted For Murder Of Popular Temple Volunteer

According to this KCEN article, yesterday a Bell County Grand Jury was finally able to pass down an indictment, and Ramirez is officially going to trial for the murder of Tescari. Ramirez upon his capture was booked into the Bell County Jail, and had a bond set for $1 million dollars.

Pending the results of an upcoming trial or plea arrangement, from a community standpoint, there is nothing that is more frustrating, infuriating, and saddening than to see such a young person to be involved in any kind of criminal activity, let alone murder.
