Two young individuals from the state of Wyoming have been taken into custody after an alleged attempt at a school shooting in League City, Texas. Here's what we know at the time of writing.

Details Of The Case

On February 9th, 2024, police from Lander, Wyoming, contacted police in Amarillo, Texas. According to law enforcement, the two young individuals, Quintin Wyrick and Otis Edlund, were alleged to have sent a text message to a friend about "shooting up a preschool in Texas," with the alleged target being in previously mentioned League City. This is according to ABC 7 News.

Police in Amarillo prepared accordingly, and the preschool itself always kept their exterior doors locked with ""multiple (police) units will be doing checks in both marked and unmarked vehicles for schools and preschools," as reported by ABC 7.

However, before the suspects were able to reach Texas, they were arrested.

The Two Teens Arrested In Sterling, Colorado

ABC 7 Reports that police in Colorado were able to locate the vehicle the suspects were in. Further details were revealed in a post to social media from the Logan County Police in Colorado:

ABC 7 also reports that the individuals arrested for the attempted school shooting in League City, had a relative in the area, which is the alleged association that led them to that area.
