Laredo man Jesus Ivan Garcia has been arrested following a traffic accident that occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 35 in Temple, according to FOX 44 News.

On October 6, at approximately 3:38 p.m., Temple police officers were dispatched to Exit 298 on southbound I-35. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an individual had attempted to cross the interstate and was tragically struck by an 18-wheeler driven by Jesus Ivan Garcia.
Fatal Accident Update: Arrest Announced in Temple I-35 Wreck
Garcia did not stop immediately after the collision and continued driving down the highway. He eventually pulled over near Salado, Texas, and began cooperating with the investigation. Garcia has since been arrested for failure to stop and render aid involving personal injury or death. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
