University Medical Center (UMC) has recently announced that its brand new family medicine facility has officially opened its doors in Wolfforth.
Where Is the New Wolfforth Facility?
This facility is located at 720 Donald Preston Drive and has replaced the previous Wolfforth clinic. This new location will offer larger space for patients as well as on-site labs and X-ray services, according to reports from KCBD.
The clinic will be open Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Services Offered at Wolfforth UMC Clinic
Family exams ranging from annual wellness checkups to flu shots and maternity care are all now available at the new Wolfforth facility, according to the UMC website.
The location is also equipped with a fully-operational drive-thru for limited-contact flu and COVID-19 testing. The drive-thru will be able to accommodate up to four vehicles at a time.
Back-to-Back New UMC Facilities
The new Wolfforth family medicine clinic comes just less than a month after UMC opened the 120,000-square-foot TLC2 Foundation Cancer Center in Lubbock.
Those spearheading the construction stated that their motivation was to provide local care without requiring cancer patients to travel long distances in order to receive life-saving care.
In addition to treatment, the facility also conducts cancer research. President and CEO of UMC Health System Mark Funderburk emphasized the importance of both treating patients and researching the deadly disease:
In this location we have brand new medical staff who are going to offer a comprehensive view of cancer treatment, at the same time we are going to have research in the building, and I want patients to be able to see the researchers in the building because they can look at that and think perhaps there might be a cure even emerging from here in West Texas.
This major push for improving localized healthcare to those in need is a huge boost to Lubbock and West Texas. We can only hope to see this wave of putting citizen health and safety at the forefront of growth continue for years to come.
