Texas Tech golf continues to impress, this time on the national scale, as Golf Channel recently recognized them for their exceptional skills on the green.

Golf Channel's Preseason Top 30

Golf Channel placed Texas Tech at No. 5 on their preseason list. If you somehow aren't impressed already at that, then know that the next highest Texas school was UT at No. 12.

Not only this, but three Red Raiders were featured in Golf Channel's pre-season all-American teams.

What brought Texas Tech so high in the lineup? Well, that has to do with the dynamic trio made up of Tim Wiedemeyer, Connor Graham, and Adam Bresnu.

Tim Wiedemeyer and Adam Bresnu, both seniors at Tech, were each included in the All-American Second Team.

Following this summer's European Amateurs, Wiedemeyer is ranked 10th in the world. He, along with Bresnu, were recently named to the Haskins Award's 25-player preseason watch list, according to Texas Tech Athletics.

Graham, on the other hand, made waves in his own right, earning a spot on the third All-American team this preseason... for the second year in a row.

Globally Recognized Players

Want to know something even more impressive? All three of these players are within the top 30 spots in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. How awesome is that? Major kudos to Texas Tech for fostering brilliance in athletics.

Texas Tech golf prepares for the start of the 2026-2027 season on September 13. This is when they travel to Toledo, Ohio, for the Inverness Intercollegiate.

Keep up with all things Red Raider golf from the Texas Tech Athletics website. Here's to making it to the NCAA Championships this year!
