Texas Tech Lady Raiders Head to Disney World for 2026 Women’s Basketball Showcase

Guess who's off to rub shoulders with Mickey Mouse himself in Orlando, Florida this year? That's right, the Texas Tech women's basketball team, that's who! In the third annual Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Showcase, the Lady Raiders will join seven other teams for this massive event at Walt Disney World Resort.

2026 WBCA Showcase Matchups

This three-game event will take place from November 19th through 22nd at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World, and these are the other women's college basketball teams joining Tech:

• Alabama
• Florida A&M
• Florida State
• North Carolina
• Purdue
• University of Central Florida (UCF)
• University of South Florida (USF)

Lady Raider Game Schedule

Texas Tech opens against North Carolina on Thursday, November 19 at 5 p.m. Purdue is the Lady Raiders' next opponent on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. before wrapping up the showcase on Sunday against USF at noon.

According to Texas Tech Athletics, the showcase opener marks the first time in program history that Texas Tech will face North Carolina. The Lady Raiders have a score to settle against Purdue, however, having lost both of the previous matchups, the most recent being 2014.

When it comes to Texas Tech vs. USF, this will be the fourth time these two women's basketball teams face each other. USF has a 2-1 lead over the Lady Raiders, so this showcase in Orlando is our chance to tie the series!
