Don’t Miss The Launch Of Lubbock’s Small Business Resource Hub
If you’re a small business owner in Lubbock—or thinking about becoming one—you’ll want to mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 1st, 2025. That’s when the final session of this year’s WTX Small Business Workshop Series takes place, and it’s bringing something brand new to the table: the launch of the South Plains Small Business Resource Hub.

This free, in-person event will take place at 4811 Indiana Avenue, Suite B in Lubbock, and it’s designed to connect entrepreneurs across the South Plains with the tools, funding, and support they need to grow.
What’s the Resource Hub All About?
The South Plains Small Business Resource Hub is a brand-new collaboration between the South Plains Association of Governments (SPAG), the Caprock Business Finance Corporation (Caprock BFC), and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Texas Tech University.
Think of it as a one-stop shop for small business support—whether you need technical assistance, access to capital, or connections to programs across the region.
Building on the WTX Small Business Summit
This workshop series was born from the WTX Small Business Summit, a regional gathering that took a pause in 2025 to focus on outreach all year long instead of just one event. Organizers say the Summit will be back in 2026 with expanded programming and deeper community engagement.
In the meantime, events like this workshop are carrying the mission forward.

Kelly Criswell, Executive Director of SPAG, said via press release:
This workshop reflects the heart of what the WTX Small Business Summit was designed to do—connect small businesses with the resources they need to thrive. We’re proud to continue that mission this year through partnerships and events like this and extremely proud to showcase our new office and the launch of this coordinated effort for small businesses throughout West Texas.
