Dedicated and enthusiastic employees to carry out and promote the restaurant and the mission. Running a restaurant is tough, and owners must accept a lot of criticism, even when it's not their fault.

A Tyler Restaurant Closes After 16 Years
Restaurants in Tyler come and go. It's never good to talk about one closing down because that means some East Texans are now without a job, and that's what has happened for one Tyler restaurant that has been open for 16 years. Oliveto Italian Bistro on Troup Highway served its final meal in Tyler on Wednesday. Customers were greeted with a sign on the door stating, 'Our lease has ended. We are out of business. Thank you for your support over these 16 years.'
Jucys Hamburgers Expands in Tyler
As one restaurant closes, another opens. Jucys Hamburgers has opened its fourth Tyler location. Located on Highway 110 between Grande and Toll 49, this location will serve southeast Tyler and the Whitehouse area. This location joins the other Tyler Jucy's hamburger locations on Fifth St, Old Jacksonville Highway, and SW Loop 323.

Pizza Ranch Planning New Tyler Location
With one restaurant closing and one opening, there is news of another one coming to Tyler. A new pizza joint will be replacing Ken's Pizza in the French Quarter. This location closed in 2025. KLTV reports that the pizza chain, Pizza Ranch, is coming to the Rose City. According to a licensing filing, construction on the 11,435 square foot restaurant is expected to begin April 1 with a September 1 target date for opening.
The restaurant will serve pizza, chicken wings, salads, and more. It is reported that in addition to pizza, the facility will also house an arcade.
While it is sad to see a local restaurant close down, it is exciting news about another one opening up and yet another on the way. As these businesses expand and open, we must do what we can to support them and their staff.
