For those with nowhere to go to warm up, Wichita Falls organizations will be opening up for those to get out of the cold.

As of right now, we do not know for sure how bad the ice or snow is going to be this weekend. The latest update from KFDX is below. No matter what, it's going to be cold in Wichita Falls with lows in the single digits this weekend.

Wichita Falls Warming Stations Will Be Open This Weekend

For those that need to get out of the cold, three organizations will be open in town for you to go get warm in.

  • Salvation Army (Located at 403 7th Street)
  • Faith Mission (Located at 1300 Travis Street)
  • Homeless Lives Matter (Located at 921 Burnett Street)

Salvation Army opens their day room for extra space when the temperature gets below forty degrees. Faith Mission will also be opening up their day room for extra space for those trying to get out of the brutal temperatures expected this weekend. Homeless Lives Matter has a movie night planned for this Saturday and is extending their hours to help those escape the cold.

City of Wichita Falls is Prepping for Winter Weather

As many around town are getting stocked up for the weather this weekend. The City of Wichita Falls has plans in place to combat the potential snow/ice. They also urge the public to be aware of potential pipes bursting with the cold temperatures expects. You can read more in their full statement above.
