
Sheppard Air Force Base Announces Lodging Upgrades Coming to Wichita Falls
Good news for service members, guardians, and families at Sheppard Air Force Base will soon see hotel upgrades coming to Wichita Falls.
The Department of the Air Force announced over the weekend that 23 Air Force Bases across the country will be getting on site lodging upgrades over the next few years. The work is expected to start in the fall of 2027 at the following facilities across the country.

Air Force Partnering Up With IHG Hotels to Upgrade Lodging
The DAF (Department of Air Force) has selected Centinel Public Partnerships, LLC and IHG Hotels and Resorts to execute a 50-year lease. Current On-Base Lodging in Wichita Falls
Looks like the current lodging situation in Wichita Falls is called Sheppard Inn. According to the website, "rooms receive décor upgrades every six years and full renovation every 12 years to keep our hotels up to standard for our guests." Looks like a big upgrade is coming starting next fall.
