It felt good to be back at AT&T Stadium on Sunday. Let's highlight some key moments from Sunday's overtime thriller.

The Dallas Cowboys played their 1,000th game as a franchise on Sunday and it was heart attack inducing for the Dallas Cowboys fans in attendance. Below you can check out some photos from the sidelines and after that I will go through my five key moments from Sunday.

Victory Monday: Dallas Cowboys Beat New York Giants in Overtime

The Dallas Cowboys had their 1,000th game as a franchise on Sunday and their home opener for 2025 as well. It was a nail biter of a game to start your Sunday, let's look back at some key moments.

1. Brandon Aubrey is Insane

When you see Brandon Aubrey line up behind the Dallas Cowboys star at midfield to kick a field goal you think this ball is barely gonna get through the uprights. Not only was it good down the middle, he hit the freaking safety net behind. This field goal would have been good from even further back. Harrison Butker for the Kansas City Chiefs is currently the highest paid kicker in the NFL. Brandon Aubrey better become that this off season. He's in the final year of his contract and Dallas fans want him to stay.

2. Giants Penalty Issues Were Nuts

With two teams who's primary color is blue for their uniforms. The big color on Sunday was yellow. The Giants had SO many penalties on Sunday. That play where they had three separate penalties I legit laughed out loud in my seat. Sadly, CeeDee Lamb also got a penalty so they were wiped away.

3. Defensive Schemes Need to Change

Patty here said it best. So many plays on Sunday where the Dallas Cowboys let wide receivers get behind that zone coverage. I was listening to the post game show on the ride home and they said the Dallas Cowboys defense was in a zone coverage for 95% of their defensive plays. According to NFL's Next Gen Stats, the Cowboys ran zone with the exception of TWO plays. Matt Eberflus is the Cowboys defensive coordinator, who returns to Chicago this week to take on his old team. I hope he has something better planned for them.

4. Maybe Jadeveon Clowney Helps Mix Up the Defense?

Literally after the game on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys were still making news after signing the former first overall pick in the NFL in 2014. Jadeveon Clowney has been hopping from team to team in recent years, but he was most recently a Carolina Panther. He had 5.5 sacks, 46 total tackles, and four passes defended last year. Hopefully he helps put some pressure on those quarterbacks. For no reason, one of the greatest ball don't lie moments in college football.

5. Dallas Cowboys Fans Actually Had a Good Home Field Advantage

^After this play, I expected AT&T Stadium to start emptying out yesterday. The fans stuck through that whole game on Sunday and actually had it pretty loud in there. I know AT&T Stadium is probably mid tier when it comes to raucous crowds. During that fourth quarter, it was nuts in that stadium and I was thankful to be a part of it.

Dallas will travel to Chicago this Sunday to take on the Bears. Kickoff is set for 3:25, you can listen to the game in Wichita Falls on 106.3 the Buzz and NewsTalk 1290.
