Even though many companies have called for employees to return to the office over the course of the last couple of years, the remote work trend is still going strong. If you’re one of the so-called “digital nomads” who prefer to work outside the confines of an office, a Texas city is one of the best. 

I always thought I would be someone who would love remote work. However, when I had no choice but to work from home in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, I quickly learned that I didn’t care for it. Don’t get me wrong – there are times when it’s beneficial. But I found that I like having somewhere to be at a certain time each day.

But many people are all about remote work. With that in mind, the folks at StorageCafe set out to find which U.S. cities were the best for “digital nomads.” Of course, Austin was found to be among the most well-rounded cities for remote workers. Our state capital has certainly staked a claim as one of the most technologically advanced cities in the country. 

Austin was recognized as being the most digital-ready city in the country, thanks to blazing-fast internet, free wi-fi hotspots, and plenty of co-workspaces. Not to mention, the nightlife is great and there’s no shortage of incredible food options.
