Several months ago, the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel moved from their longtime office on Colonial Drive to a smaller office just off of North Street. Since then, the original office has been sitting vacant. Someone was keeping it up, though, because the lot stayed mowed and looking nice.

Then, a few weeks ago, someone got pretty creative hanging Christmas lights at the location. To give you an idea, take a look at this:

Pretty cool, right? Someone really put in some effort to make a vacant space look pretty festive for Christmas. But the lights weren't the only new thing there.

A Closer Inspection Revealed Something More

If you look closer at the sign in front of the building, where the Daily Sentinel name used to be, it had a brand new sign up. Take a look:

That's right, the new sign is actually an "Opening Soon" announcement for a brand-new business - Colonial Place Office Suites. It even has a website on it.

If you go to the website right now, you get the same information as the sign. It's just the name of the business, with more "Coming Soon" announcements, but still, it's exciting to know that a new business is on its way to Nacogdoches.

I assume that it will be a place similar to what NacSpace has across town, with office spaces available for rent. Until they make an official opening, we can only speculate as to what exactly is in store for Colonial Place.
