Family Sues Over Carbon Monoxide Deaths
You may remember the story of a woman and her two sons in June who were found dead in their Nacogdoches neighborhood. The father/widower of the deceased has now sued in connection with the carbon monoxide deaths.
According to KTRE, the man is suing four different companies that his lawyers believe are responsible for a faulty pool heater installation. Brett Kirk of Kingwood has retained the counsel of Tony Buzbee.
If that name sounds familiar, it's because Buzbee is a Houston attorney known for taking on high-profile cases. He represented more than two dozen women who accused NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct.

He was also involved in litigation against rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, and represented a family of a victum in the Astroworld crowd crush, filing a $750 million lawsuit against rapper Travis Scott on behalf of 120 victims.
He even represented Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton during his impeachment trial.
Lawsuit Filed Against Multiple Places For Deaths
The lawsuit has been filed against five area businesses seeking damages above $50 million. The lawsuit points to a pool heater as the source of the large amount of carbon monoxide in the Nacogdoches home.
