A new petition has popped up in Amarillo, Texas, and it is demanding access to something that at first glance might seem out of place in the Texas Panhandle. There are plenty of reasons why.

The petition is for getting a Spa Castle brought to Amarillo. If you're confused or have no idea what a Spa Castle is, don't worry, I was in the same boat too when a friend sent this to me.

What Is Spa Castle?

Long story short, Spa Castle is a Korean-style spa and sauna. Sounds relaxing, and Lord knows we all could use a little relaxation these days.

The petition points out that there is nowhere near Amarillo that offers spa services to the level that a Spa Castle would. It even claims that a Spa Castle would actually increase the amount of tourism coming to town.

The Controversial Bath Area

When you check out the Spa Castle website, you get lost in the photos of a beautiful facility that offers a wide variety of services. It honestly looks tempting. Then, you stumble upon the part about the Bath Area & Lounge.

There's a section devoted to the swimwear-free nature of the bath area. According to the Spa Castle Texas website, it was once believed that clothing could contaminate the waters. Since this is a traditional Korean-style spa, they encourage you to leave behind your swimwear when in this part of the facility.

Where to Sign the Petition

It might not be for me, but who am I to tell people how to take a traditional Korean-style bath in a spa? The idea of it does make me nervous, I can't lie.

Fortunately, that's not the only thing that Spa Castle offers. I don't know that we would ever see one in Amarillo, but if you think we should, there is a petition that would love your signature.

Google Answers the Top 10 Questions About Amarillo

I love Google. It can literally answer ANYTHING you need it to answer. Whether it's right or wrong is a totally different question.

Recently, I found myself wondering about something and went to Google. And that's when I started noticing the "people also asked..." section and BOY...Some of them made perfect sense, some of them were interesting, and one of them was downright baffling...and it was a top 10 question which is even more absurd.

So let's see what we've got. Here's the top 10 questions as asked to Google about Amarillo.

Say You're From Amarillo Without Saying You're From Amarillo

Amarillo is a pretty quirky place. We've got the Big Texan, the weird signs, and (obviously) the famed Cadillac Ranch. But more than that, there's a distinct culture of close-knit community, eccentrics, a thriving arts scene, and much more.

The point is, living in Amarillo is a unique experience. Because of that, it's really pretty easy to tell who's a native or a long-time resident. And I can prove it.

Here's a couple of ways you can say you're from Amarillo.....without saying you're from Amarillo.
