The Most Obese City in the U.S. Comes From the 956
It is not surprising that the most obese town in the US is right here in Texas, well south Texas. The 956 tops the list and rightfully so, have you seen how many Mexican food restaurants are in a one mile radius in McAllen? LOL
This list was a recent study of the most obese cities released by wallethub. A Deep South Texas town makes the top of the list. Not to mention a few within driving distance of the Victoria area on the top 50. In short, there were three key points to the study: 1) Obesity & Overweight, 2) Health Consequences, and 3) Food & Fitness. You can read all the criteria by clicking here.
#1 McAllen/Edinburg/Mission tops the list as the most obese town in the US!
#21 San Antonio
#49 Houston
ONE OF THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANTS IN TEXAS:
I just saw this video come across my social feed and hit close to home. The video was posted to Tiktok by The Texas Bucket list and showcases a Mexican restaurant in a small town of Mirando City. That name of the restaurant is called LaLa's and I can confirm that this place is elite. It also follows my personal belief of the more nondescript the building the better the food. Below, I refer to it as the best Mexican food that I have ever had!
@thetexasbucketlistLala's Cafe has been a part of Mirando City since the 1950's and this desolate destination draws quite a crowd for comida! #thetexasbucketlist #mirandocity #tacos #enchiladas #chalupa♬ original sound - TheTexasBucketList
