It always puts a smile on my face when I see the folks from Blue Bell standing in our radio station lobby. That usually means Blue Bell is introducing a new flavor, and they've got samples!

Introducing Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream

The latest taste of heaven from the little creamery in Brenham is Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream, arriving in stores today.

Classic Pecan Pie is a rich brown sugar ice cream with roasted pecans and pieces of flaky pie crust mixed with a pecan pie filling. I would suggest doubling down and getting a bowl of this delicious ice cream along with a slice of warm pecan pie, giving your taste buds a sensory overload.

Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream is available in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time. I hope this flavor graduates from a limited-time, temporary offering to a permanent one because this ice cream is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Did you know that Texas has an official state pie? Of course, it's pecan pie. So, it seems only right that Blue Bell, a proud Texas institution, would create an ice cream flavor honoring a state icon.

Also, now in stores from Blue Bell is Homemade in the Shade Ice Cream. After a 10-year hiatus, the flavor made its return in July. It features homemade vanilla ice cream combined with a swirl of rich chocolate fudge sauce.
