The Dallas Cowboys used a potent offense, a stingy defense, and an NFL record-setting kicker to ground the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East showdown. If there was ever a doubt how good the Cowboys are this year, this game should have put that thought to rest.

The Cowboys were clicking on all cylinders once again as the offense, led by Dak Prescott, moved the ball seemingly at will. Meanwhile, our defense was stellar in keeping Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts at bay and the Philly attack grounded.

You could tell which team wanted the win more. The Cowboys came out of the gate with the same intensity and precision that has them rolling with a five-game winning streak and a share with the number 1 seed in the NFC. It's also worth noting that the Cowboys have now won 15 home games in a row, three shy of the franchise record.

This is the team I expected in the first matchup, which was an Eagles 28-23 win at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly. The execution by the Cowboys in this game was much better this time, and coach Mike McCarthy is finally starting to call plays that play to the strengths of the offense.

Speaking of offense, how well is Dak playing right now? The dude is lights out right now. He has connected on 201 of 290 passes for 2,444 yards. He has also tossed 25 touchdowns with only two interceptions for a 7-1 record. I think it's safe to say he's playing out of his mind right now.

NFL Record-Setting Kicker

Former soccer player Brandon Aubrey is putting on a clinic this season hitting all 30 of his field goals. Yes, you read that right, Aubrey has not missed a field goal this year. He didn't miss a beat against the Eagles, kicking five field goals including this 60-yarder.

Aubrey became the first NFL player to ever kick two field goals of 59 yards or more in the same game. Keep in mind, this dude is a rookie. Impressive is an understatement.

The Cowboys are finally playing like the team we all thought they were, and now have a big win against an NFC East rival who in my mind is a great team. I have every idea we'll see them again this year.

How 'bout them Cowboys!
