Ouch! Hockey Player Almost Decapitated — With His Own Stick

Hockey is a violent sport. We all know that. But who knew it was so violent you could get without an opponent doing anything to you.

Mitchell Skiba, of the Midwest Junior Hockey League's Alpena Flyer, was skating off the ice after getting tossed for spearing. His stick decided to punish him for his behavior.

Ouch. Hopefully, his moves on the ice are a little slicker than this, otherwise his NHL dreams will never get past the blue line.
