Helpful Slithering: Which Snakes Could Help or Harm in Texas?
I know what you're thinking, and I'm thinking it as well:
"I don't want to have anything to do with a snake! There's no reason to even approach one! Paradise what are you talking about, all snakes are bad snakes!"
Allow me to assuage those fears. So yes, I also really don't like snakes. But now that I live in Texas, and I've already heard some of the my coworkers talk about how they've encountered some - even specimens that have slithered into our offices! I've accepted that I might see one of our slithery friends in the wild or in the office.

I'll probably freeze in my tracks when I see one, but we'll hopefully be able to move if I notice one.
What we all could use is a guide of what snakes could potentially harm us. But what many may not realize is that there are snakes that help out humans.
Yes, there are snakes that help us, and I'm just as surprised as you are. Snakes helping humankind? Is the simulation broken?
Yes, it's true. In the great state of Texas, both snakes and humans can live in harmony. As long we don't bother each other, that is.
There had to be catch - you know there's always a catch.
So if you will, please allow me to show you some of the snakes the help the animal kingdom stay the way it currently runs. I will warn you that yes, I will be showing pictures of the snakes, so you'll know what they look like in case you happen upon one.
