Free Beer & Hot Wings: Former Baseball Player Jose Canseco Is Really Upset About Shooting His Finger Off [Video]

The other day, while cleaning his gun at the kitchen table, former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco failed to check that the chamber was clear and ended up shooting his finger completely off.

That's a big bummer. Doctors were able to reattach the finger, but the prognosis doesn't look so great.

They say that he will never regain full use of the busted off digit.

Canseco is completely distraught and traumatized by the incident.

He appeared Thursday night on "Inside Edition" and broke down while talking about the incident. As bad as it was, Canseco is fully aware that it could have been much worse. Canseco's fiancee, Leila Knight, was nearly hit by the bullet.
