The big story from the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on Tuesday night was the controversy surrounding St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright and the New York Yankees' Derek Jeter.

While being interviewed during the game, Wainwright, basically, said that he pitched a softball to Jeter out of respect, since he's retiring and this is his last All-Star Game.

That caused everyone to freak out, since the winner of the All-Star Game determines home-field advantage for the World Series.

Erin Andrews, of Fox Sports, interviewed Wainwright later in the game. He clarified, basically saying: "I was kidding."

We played this Wednesday on "The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show" and gave a collective who cares about all of it. It's just not a big deal to us.

But someone who took great offense to the way that Andrews handled the follow-up interview was Kirk Minihane, of WEEI's "The Dennis & Callahan Morning Show" in Boston.

apologized by issuing a statement and tweeting his remorse.
