Last night (Feb. 13), Eagles of Death Metal resumed their European tour that was cut show following the horrific terrorist attack during their concert in Paris in November.

The band’s first proper show since that fatal attack took place in Stockholm at Debaser Medis. You can see fan-shot clips of their triumphant performance at the bottom of the page. Before the gig, frontman Jesse Hughes appeared on a Swedish morning show (watch above). During the emotional interview, he discussed the attack at Le Bataclan theater on Nov. 13, which took the lives of 89 people in attendance, and his apprehension about returning to the stage.

“It’s a complex feeling,” Hughes said. “There’s no simple way to approach it. This is the greatest joy I’ve ever had in my life, being on stage and performing and being with my friends who are fans of rock and roll. But there’s a heaviness in my heart that’s difficult to pretend that it’s not there.”

Following the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris, Eagles of Death Metal performed a couple of songs with U2 at AccorHotels Arena in Paris. Hughes and company will play their own show in Paris on Feb. 16 at the Olympia. The band is offering free tickets to those who were present at Le Bataclan on the night of the attack.
