Drop in Crude Oil Prices Will Make For Cheaper Travel This Summer
The recent drop in the crude oil price is not a good thing for the job situation here in the Permian Basin, but it is good for those planning to travel this summer.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, this summer will be the cheapest driving season since 2009 when the national economy took a downturn.
This means that if you plan a trip for this summer, the prices at the pump will be about a dollar cheaper than last summer. Gas prices are just above $2 at most gas stations and will hover around that figure for the remainder of the spring and summer driving season.
