If highway 385 is not one that you travel often let me give you a heads up about the latest there so you don't make the same mistake I did the other day! There are now officially two overpasses on 385 going into Odessa and even though this is a regular commute route for me, I forgot and missed my turn.

So the one that came first obviously was highway 385 and 158. If you are heading into Odessa from Andrews, you can turn left on 158 and that will lead you into Gardendale, or right toward Goldsmith. Or you can keep going straight and there is a new overpass on 385 and loop 338.

Well the other day I got confused. Driving along listening to my favorite true crime podcast, apparently it was a good one and I didn't realize I had already passed 1 overpass and was already at the new one (highway 385 & loop 338) the 2nd one, so I passed it too! It wasn't until I was heading into Odessa that I realized what I had done.

I was alone that particular day so I laughed at myself and realized this is something I am now going to have to get used to. There are now 2 overpasses heading into Odessa on 385 and if you're not careful and really paying attention, you too may make the same mistake. lol

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
