Championship Sunday happens this weekend when the AFC and NFC will crown a champion of their conference and send that team to the Super Bowl.

This weekend could send two teams to the Super Bowl for the third time if Cincinnati can upset Kansas City and San Francisco can upset the Los Angeles Rams.

If that does happen it will be the third time that Cincinnati and San Francisco have met in the final game of the season, but it has been over 30 years ago in Super Bowl 23 and they did meet previously in Super Bowl 16, both times San Francisco won.

If not that rematch, how about the rematch of Kansas City and San Francisco just two years ago when Kansas City won their first Lombardi Trophy in 50 years.

Either of those rematches would be a chance for the losing team to win against the team that beat them in the Super Bowl for the first time.

But it could be a first-time matchup like Los Angeles and Kansas City or Los Angeles and Cincinnati which would also be a good matchup.

One thing for sure, Championship Sunday, if it is anything like the Divisional Weekend, should have fans and non-fans of all the teams on the edge of their seat till the last minute and the Super Bowl has the chance of doing the same thing which will make football fans like me really happy.

The AFC Championship will kickoff first on Sunday at 2:00 pm Central Time on CBS, and the NFC Championship will kickoff at 5:30 Central Time on Fox.
