In a new poll, 37% of Californians say they've seriously considered leaving because of high housing costs. Texas doesn't have that problem. As a result, from 2010 to 2019, the last year census figures were available, over 303,000 Californians migrated to Texas.

The good news, they found that the cost of living in Texas is over 10% below the national average. Unfortunately, when you count the cost of living in San Angelo compared with other cities in West Texas and statewide, things are a bit more expensive overall in San Angelo, according to livingcost.org

Personally, I'm convinced that if delivery drones can work anywhere, it is Texas. Think about it, there is a lot of real estate to cover.in Texas. I am only sorry that the first Texas city to test drone deliveries is College Station and not San Angelo, Abilene, or some other West Texas city.

We have all seen those heart-rendering commercials on television, asking for donations to save animals at risk. The images are graphic and horrendous. Animal cruelty can occur anywhere. Until recently, I never heard of a house with two front doors. Whenever I have seen a home with two front doors, I naturally assumed it was a duplex or multi-family dwelling. A recent visit to a friend whose parents live in an old Texas farmhouse changed all that.
