‘Game of Thrones’ Season 5: Why George R.R. Martin Won’t Be Involved Much
One of the reasons fans of the original books have been so cool with the major deviations 'Game of Thrones' made from the novels has been the direct involvement of author George R.R. Martin. As a producer and writer on the series, he's been present to give his blessing to the showrunners and wag his fingers at aggressive fans, but not this year. Martin will be sitting out 'Game of Thrones' season 5 altogether to finish writing the sixth book in the series, 'The Winds of Winter.'
‘Sin City 2′ Red Band Trailer: Black and White and Red All Over
With all of the big news coming out of Comic-Con this year, Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' seemed to get lost in the shuffle. Perhaps that's why the extended red band trailer that played in Hall H has made its way online, giving us our best look yet at the decade-in-the-making sequel.
Weekend Box Office Report: ‘Lucy’ Takes Down the Mighty ‘Hercules’
This weekend saw two movies named after their lead characters go head-to-head. In one corner, you have 'Lucy.' In the other, 'Hercules.' If you asked the average person who would win in a battle between Dwayne Johnson and Scarlett Johansson, most would probably side with the guy whose nickname is "The Rock." But the box office this weekend went in a completely different direction.
‘The Death of Superman Lives’ Trailer: See Nicolas Cage (Almost) Play the Man of Steel
Once upon a time, Nicolas Cage almost played Superman. In a movie directed by Tim Burton. From a script by Kevin Smith. Which was based on the iconic "Death of Superman" comic book storyline. And then it all fell apart, transforming it into one of Hollywood's greatest "What if?" narratives. 'Superman Lives' may have died before making it in front of cameras, but at least the new documentary 'The Death of Superman Lives' will give us an insider's look at what went wrong.
‘The Legend of Korra’ Book 3: Nickelodeon Pulls Remaining Episodes and Puts Them Online
Here's some mixed news for fans of the critically beloved but little-watched 'The Legend of Korra': the show's third season will be yanked off Nickelodeon following tomorrow's episode, but the final five chapters will air online. Oh, and despite this news that seems to scream "Doooom!" at the top of its lungs, a fourth season (or "book," as they're called in this series) is still very much in the works.
‘7 Days in Hell’ Sets Stars Andy Samberg and Kit Harington For a Visit
There are a lot of intriguing things going on in '7 Days in Hell,' an original movie being produced for HBO. First of all, it's a sports comedy. Secondly, it's a mockumentary. Third, it's going to star the completely untested comedy duo of 'SNL' alum Andy Samberg and ... 'Game of Thrones' star Kit Harington?!
‘Sinister Six,’ ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3′ and ‘Uncharted’ Get Release Dates

‘Pirates of the Caribbean 5′ Gets a Release Date (Sort Of)
'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' is still a thing that is happening despite the disappointing domestic box office of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' (thanks, Rest Of The World) and after years of behind the scenes turmoil, it looks like Disney has finally decided on a release date.
