The road can be a dangerous place, especially during the winter months. And Within the Ruins unfortunately experienced that while traveling through Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon (Feb. 15). The group's van and trailer flipped off an interstate.

According to guitarist Joe Cocchi, "We rolled about three times from what I can remember and landed on the median. Our van and trailer are totaled." He goes on to add, "All I can say is that we're happy to be alive. I don't know how, but none of us were injured."

However, while the band is in good shape, their touring vehicles are not. They've started a Go Fund Me campaign to help replace their totaled vehicles. Cocchi says, "We're on the road touring because this is all we know and love and we want to continue. Help us get back on our feet by picking up a shirt. Thank you all for the continued support."

The group is planning to play the El Corazon in Seattle on Friday (Feb. 20) and they're looking for some financial assistance to help them continue their run. The funds will go to help offset the costs of a new trailer and van, gear repair and whatever else is needed to continue touring.

Cocchi continues, "I know s--t happens but man this is a tough one to grasp. We return home from a 27-day Euro tour, spend one day with our families, and then this happens during a snow storm in Pennsylvania as we are making the trek out to Cali."
