Movies about past shows and movies are still all the rage, and here is the latest installment.

According to Fox News, Vin Diesel is going to star in a movie based on the '70s cop show "Kojak".  The original aired on CBS from 1973 to 1978, and starred Jennifer Aniston's godfather Telly Savalas.

In the mid-'80s, Savalas came back to do seven "Kojak" TV movies, and in 2005, the USA Network tried to launch a new version starring Ving Rhames and Chazz Palminteri, but it only lasted nine episodes.

All that's revealed about the movie is that it will be a "modern-day adaptation."
