Foo Fighters are making it to all corners of the globe as one of music's hottest tickets, but the band has to bow out of a show scheduled for Auckland, New Zealand, this Friday (Feb. 20) because their equipment truck was involved in a serious accident.

According to Vintage Vinyl News, the group was booked to play a charity show at the Auckland Town Hall, but had to cancel the show when the truck carrying their equipment was involved in an accident that also injured the driver. According to Frontier Touring, the driver is expected to be okay, but the specialized equipment on the truck was damaged so badly that it could not be used. The group sent for replacement equipment from the U.S. so that they could honor their set the following night in Mt. Smart.

In other Foo Fighters news, one show the band is set to play is the world famous Glastonbury festival. The group had been rumored as a potential festival headliner for some time, but finally confirmed the info during an acceptance speech at the NME Awards Wednesday night (Feb. 18).

The group was named Best International Band at the award ceremony, and while not there in person, they accepted via a video hookup. Speaking on behalf of the band, Dave Grohl stated, "We love all of the fans for our band for this award. We're very thankful and very happy -- sorry we couldn't make it tonight, but we will be seeing you over the summer at some big outdoor festival that nobody knows we're playing." You can watch the video at NME.

At that point, drummer Taylor Hawkins coughed "Glastonbury" under his breath, before Grohl finally confirmed, "It's Glastonbury. So we'll see you at Glastonbury -- thanks a lot everybody!" The Glastonbury Festival takes place in Somerset June 26-28.
